Making Art Portfolios

The kids asked me if we could start doing art classes everyday. So I thought that our first project should be something to put all of our art work into.

After digging through our cardboard recycling, I found 4 Digiorno pizza boxes. These boxes are pretty large so papers of many sizes would fit into it.

I started by opening the boxes completley, but leaving the side where the box just folds over (not where you can tear it open) intact.

We then painted our boxes. Sorry I didn't take any pictures.

Then I cut off the extra cardboard that was on the top. and closed the box (it should have an opening at the top.

I punched two hold in each side of the box, put string and beads on it to add some flare.

After that was done I took a hot glue gun and glued the sides so it was sturdier. Then I puched two holes in the top so we could attach handles.

We used pipe cleaners for the hanldes
