Brid Feeder

Little Man's new obsession is looking for birds in the trees in our front yards so I thought he would like making some bird feeders to attract more birds.

Here's what you will need:
  • Ice cream cones
  • Peanut Butter
  • Some kind of oil
  • Cheerios
  • Bird Seed
  • Pipe Cleaners
First you need to mix your peanut butter and oil together. It doesn't matter how much you use just make sure that it's kind of oily. This is important because birds can't digest peanut butter and they will die if they eat it plain. So just mix it together in a bowl. Poke a hole in the bottom of your cone and thread a pipe cleaner through, tying a knot at the end to keep it on the cone. Then you need to coat your cones in the peanut butter oil mix. This is kind of messy but still fun! After that you place cheerios all over the cone until you can't fit anymore.

My pictures are blurry (Don't know why :( ....). After they are covered in cheerios sprinkle bird seed over top of them. We used a paper plate to catch the falling ones but some flew off of it, wasn't too big of a mess. once they are covered hang them in a tree for birds to enjoy!!

We hung ours in the tree outside our front window so we can enjoy watching the birds!
